Pastor Oluwatoyin Fafowora

Pastor Oluwatoyin Fafowora, M.D., Ph.D. studied medicine at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She proceeded to a residency in Ophthalmology, followed by a Glaucoma Fellowship at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria. She worked at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England, and returned to UCH as Assistant Professor, and subsequently Associate Professor. She moved to the United States to join her husband in ministry, and obtained a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) . She worked at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Institute, and then as a Principal Investigator with the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Most recently, she completed a Doctorate degree in Epidemiology (with a minor in genomics) from UCLA, and presently works at STAAR Surgical Inc.
